County Fair Announces 2018 Entertainment Line-Up

The Merced County Fair has announced its full entertainment line-up for the 2018 Table Mountain FREE Concert Series presented by Coors Light, which is held on the Outdoor Theatre Stage, as well as its Grandstand Entertainment presented by Table Mountain Casino, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Coors Light and Rancho San Miguel Markets.

“At last year’s Fair we featured a tribute show on opening night and the community loved it,” said Teresa Burrola, CEO of The Merced County Fair. “Given that positive feedback, we are bringing two live tribute performers of popular artists that we really think our community will love. These tribute shows are unlike anything we have had before and it has become really popular with our crowds.”

Here are the acts that are coming to this year’s fair:

• “Uptown Funk” Bruno Mars Tribute
These seven talented musicians and performers, specializing in a complete Bruno Mars concert production will give you a Bruno Mars concert experience that you will never forget. Don’t miss the “Uptown Funk” Bruno Mars Tribute Band perform top hits like “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Just the Way You Are” and many more!

• Mark Chesnutt

With 20 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts and eight of those at No. 1, Mark Chesnutt has developed a large fan base who loves his traditional country music style. You won’t want to miss hearing his epic cover of Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” that brought him to number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, plus many more hits like "Bubba Shot the Jukebox," "It Sure is Monday" and "It's a Little Too Late" that are staples of the 90s country scene!

• Sheila E

Fans won’t want to miss the talented Sheila E perform her top hits "The Belle of St. Mark," "Sister Fate," "A Love Bizarre" and many more live at the 2018 Merced County Fair! Make sure you are there to witness in person why she is commonly referred to as “The Queen of Percussion”.

• The Moonshine Bandits

The Moonshine Bandits will be returning to The Merced County Fair for another Shiner-Saturday night! With four of their six albums on the Top Country Albums Charts and two of their albums on the Top Rap Charts, you can expect to hear their unique blend of Country-Rap Music with songs like "Throwdown" and "Outback".

•Selena – The Ultimate Tribute

Are you a Selena fan? Relive the great Selena Quintanilla with a live Selena – The Ultimate Tribute show by the talented Karla Perez. When Perez was 18 years old she won first place in a Selena Singing Competition and ever since she has been widely recognized as the number one artist doing a loving and respectful tribute to Selena.

Admission to these concerts is free with paid Fair admission, which is $9 for Adults and $5 for kids 12 and under (remember, kids 5 and under are always free). There are also plenty of ways to save before the Fair even starts! The Merced County Fair online only pre-sale for discounted Fair Admission and Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands starts on Monday, April 2 at 10 a.m. Pre-sale adult Admission tickets are just $7 and a 5-Pack of tickets is only $35, plus Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands are just $25 and are good for any one day of the Fair! Pre-sale tickets can be purchased beginning on April 2.

The Grandstand shows at The Merced County Fair are all about action-packed adventure, and this year’s line-up will give Fairgoers just that from monster trucks to tractor pulls, a rodeo and more! Merced County Fair Management expects big crowds again with this year’s great Grandstand line-up proudly sponsored by Table Mountain Casino, Rancho San Miguel Markets, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Coors Light. All shows begin at 7 p.m. and admission is $5. Children 5 years and under are free.

The Merced County Fair, first founded in 1891, represents the 35th District Agricultural Association and is celebrating 127 years of operation this year. More than 70,000 people from throughout Merced County and beyond attend the five-day Merced County Fair each June.
